Let's Ace Your Auditions.

Auditioning for College Acting or Musical Theatre programs? I’ve got you covered.

Applying to Acting or Musical Theatre programs is a complex, multi-part process. Between researching schools, selecting and preparing audition material, managing application timelines, writing personal statements, and filming pre-screens, students are expected to navigate a demanding artistic and logistical workload, often for the first time.

I’m Mimi — a working actor and college audition coach. I work with students and their families to approach this process with structure, preparation, and intention. From school list development to repertoire selection to written application materials, my coaching is designed to help students enter their auditions with material that is clear, specific, and grounded in their own artistic voice.

Strong auditions are not the result of last-minute preparation. They come from thoughtful planning, strategic material selection, and a clear understanding of what each program is asking for. My goal is to ensure that by the time audition season begins, students are not guessing at what to do next — they have a plan.

College Audition Prep Pathways

Applying to Acting or Musical Theatre programs is often a multi-year process. I offer different levels of support depending on where students are in high school — from early exploration to full audition-season preparation.

Some students choose to work with me over several years, beginning as freshmen and continuing through their senior audition season. Others join when they’re ready to dive into more targeted preparation during junior or senior year. There is no requirement to begin with the early programs in order to participate in the Senior Audition Intensive — these offerings are designed to meet you wherever you are in the process.

A bit about me.

Mimi Harlow Robinson is an award-winning actor, playwright, screenwriter, director, creative producer, and audition coach with nearly a decade of experience supporting students applying to Acting and Musical Theatre programs. She studied Drama and English at the University of Virginia and holds a Master’s degree in Professional Acting from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Now based in London, Mimi is a working actor who also trained as a teaching artist and mentor with Broadway Artists Alliance of NYC, and works with students and families to navigate the artistic, academic, and logistical demands of the college audition process.

Her coaching is rooted in the belief that in the audition room, you have nothing to prove, only to share. Mimi is passionate about helping young artists cultivate deep curiosity and a genuine love for the craft, encouraging students to focus on the art in themselves rather than themselves in the art. By centering preparation around storytelling, connection, and artistic voice, she aims to support students in becoming thoughtful, passionate artists with something to say — not just for audition season, but for the work that comes after it.
